China campaign to correct English
The Chinese have decided to deprive visitors to the Beijing Olympics of a previously inexhaustible source of humour – the countless examples of poor translation into English that the country currently abounds in.
According to the website CCTV a special campaign is being conducted prior to the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 which will especially focus on road signs and restaurant menus, which currently often do more to amuse or confuse foreign visitors than to enlighten them! It remains to be seen whether a similar campaign will be conducted in Serbia. Odista is ready to serve and we are optimistic!
